Have you also noticed that Google Chrome hides the full address of a website in the address bar? Personally, I find it annoying that Google Chrome hides the URL. Chrome does not clarify exactly which part of the website you are on. In my opinion, it increases the chances of phishing.
Hiding the full web address in Google Chrome only happens when you are not focused on Google Chrome.
If you click in the address bar or click on the part of the website you are currently looking at, the full web address will be displayed.
If you are like me and prefer to always display the full website in Google Chrome, follow the simple steps below. It will display the web page in full again in the Google Chrome address bar.
Display full website in Google Chrome address bar
These steps work for Google Chrome installed in Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Right-click in the address bar where the website URL is displayed. Then click on “Always show full URLs” from the menu.
It’s that simple. You will now always have the full web address in the address bar of Google Chrome.
